Seasonal Regimen in Ayurveda

Ayurvedic Ritucharya (Seasonal Regimen) Helps to Adapt Body and Mind for Changes caused by Seasonal Variation in Ayurveda Doshas

Seasonal Regimen in Ayurveda is very important. It is used to shift the daily routine - nutrition, cooking, diet, exercise, lifestyle, clothing, sleep etc - to adapt to a specific season to optimize health and wellbeing, stay away from illhealth.

In most places of the Earth, we have 3-6 seasons in entire year, at some places 3 seasons, at others 4 and maximum of 6. During these different seasons, there is a subtle shift in the energy of sun and moon, temperature, climate and weather. This shift produces changes in Food chain that ultimately influences us.

Ayurveda have advised to modify diet and lifestyle (Ayurvedic Aahara and Vihaar in broader sense) to adapt our body and mind to these shifts. It helps us to stay healthy, keep common seasonal disorders away, and prevent the deveopment of chronic disoders.
